Often rural agencies respond to incidents with limited resources and crews. While the REDI is not intended to take the place of regular safety markers such as flares and cones, REDI is intended to safely mark roads or driveways for additional needed resources and aid as quickly as possible.  REDIs are stored within reach in a first responder vehicle and can be tossed from the window at a hard to find driveway or road.
